I also work really hard and throughout it i get learn new art style. one of the art style i learn most about was how to create backgrounds, i wanted to learn how to do backgrounds because i want the viewers to also admire the background.
Time flies
Mental growth
My theme that I worked with this year was about the concept of time. I chose this theme as time is important for everyone. My first artwork is about how time flies. I used pencils and colored pencils. I replaced the moon with a clock and drew a person reaching up for it. My second artwork is about mental growth. I used pages of a book on the right side to represent knowledge that you gain as you grow and drew a child’s face on the left. Throughout the year I learned to combine multiple different materials into one artwork. I think I will start using this in my future artworks as well since it gives the artwork more contrast and makes it more interesting.
Strong woman
blind socity
The theme i was working on this year is unjust society where i want to show in different situation how humans and other gets torture because I want to show some true situation of our society. In my first artwork I was showing how women protect our country in 1952. I design the composition that way because women’s are fighting for their rights . I used woman holding gun with confident this idea can express my idea more clearly also a enemy was murder by woman. I think that is a important part to me . they are fighting for own language and rights this is one of the important part of injustice society. In my second artwork I was trying to show how women are treated in our society. how society want do all the work by themselves and keep everything shut down so no one can know their problems. I use hands restraining eyes as a symbol of injustice society. This idea is a big part of my theme. during this process I leaned so many things in addition i take my pictures as a self portrait for helping my balance shape and shade. this year Art experience help me to express more and it help me to boost confidence and make me feel more engaged and resilient. Besides these benefits, art engagement also alleviates anxiety, depression and stress.
Pianist
Mic Drop
The theme that I was working on this year was about music/fashion and how it has changed over the years. I chose this theme because they are about topics that interest me a lot. My first artwork, 'Pianist', it is a girl touching the keys of the piano and playing it whole the background has a guitar. I designed the composition this way to show that people often use pianos and guitars to create music and use these as instruments while singing. An object in this artwork that is important to me is the guitar because it's the first ever instrument I ever learned to play so it is significant to me. This artwork fits my theme to show music from the 80s-90s, pianos were used to make ballads. My second artwork, "Mic Drop", is a woman standing with different colored microphones in the background. I designed the composition this way to show the fashion in the 90s while the music from the 2010s. An object in this artwork that is important to me are the microphones in the background because I got inspiration from BTS's microphones as each member has a different colored mic. This artwork fits my theme to show both the music and fashion and its difference throughout the years. Some techniques I used for the first artwork was gathering my thoughts and starting by drawing the piano, then the hand, color, and then the guitar and walls, and lastly color. For the second artwork, I started by drawing the woman, then the mics, and then color. An important thing I learned from creating these artworks is even when you feel stuck like you don't know what to draw, you should gather your thoughts and just draw. Let your hand draw freely and something good will come of it. This year's experience in artmaking will influence my future works because I learned to jot down ideas and work off of them instead of stressing about not knowing what to draw.
Bangladeshi folk dance with Bengali calligraphy
Bangladesh cultural jewelry's
The theme I worked on was Bangladeshi tradition and culture where I want to represent Bangladeshi variety use of colors on events such as weeding where brides wear a lot of designs of jewelry and clothes of color. Also, my 1st artwork is about Bangladeshi folk dances styles and ornaments people wear to dance such as clothes called Saree and Jewelry. I designed the composition with different shading of colors and Bengali calligraphy as Bengali is the language of Bangladesh which people use to communicate with each other. Also, the Bengali language is the sweetest language in the world. I use different poses of the dancers to show how the part of the dance may look while dancing. In my 2nd artwork, my idea was to convey Bangladeshi cultural Jewelry's which plays an important role in culture. As people think jewelry is part of their beauty which holds value. I designed this composition this way as I wanted to show how a Bangladeshi bride may look with different colors and designs of jewelry. In addition, I use colors of stone and yarn as Bangladeshi clothes are full of sequence and design with a variety of yarn, stones. This year's experience in design and artmaking influence my future artworks by helping me to explore and learn new techniques of arts and make artwork by revise from feedback.
A Dream
Struggle Makes The Man
The theme of my artworks is a life lesson that I feel everyone should know. The life lesson is that we all face struggles, that's what makes us who we are and that's what helps us grow as humans. A Dream represents the goal beyond the struggles. We each have our own goals, some are more similar than others, but the main thing with these goals we are trying to achieve is that struggle and sacrifice have to be considered when chasing a dream. Struggle Makes The Man shows that struggle and hard times makes us who we are. In this artwork, I have deconstructed my face to show figures from my past artworks in between the fragments of my face. These past figures each have their own struggle and success as well, giving a fine balance between hardships and succeeding.
Someone is behind me
Blood
The theme of my artworks is Darkness. I choose this theme because I believe darkness exist everywhere and I wanted represent it in a creative way. This two artworks relates to theme perfectly as I have added blood to shows its dark side which is my concept basically. And the reason I focused on blood because blood shows too much violence, fear, horror. I tried composing the eyes in the both artwork to be visible to show the fear they have. The name of my artwork perfectly suits the artwork as the name and the artwork perfectly corresponds to each other. In my first artwork I tried putting details at the background to enhance the figures. I vaguely sketched the background of artwork 2 as I wanted to highlights their face more.
Traveling Bottles
Book 'n Hands
The first artwork is about how pollution now a days is so prevalent around the world that you could say that the pollutants them self are traveling on holiday instead of simply saying that pollutants are spreading. I decided to use very vibrant colors because I wanted people to be attracted to the colors to lure them into taking a closer look and hopeful take away the message that comes along with the image. The composition is suppose to convey how the pollutants are taking over the air, land, and water, which is why you have those three elements and it is also supposed to show that they are traveling.
The second artwork is about how our world is becoming gradually more unnatural to the point that what was natural will be history. I tried to convey this by using an unusual color scheme and plastic items outside of the book while the natural colors are placed within the book.

The theme I was working on this year was about School Stress. I choose it because school stress happens a lot especially this year. My first artwork is about this girl stressing about all the school work she has and has a feeling that she might not be able to finish all her school work. My second artwork is about a girl who has also a lot of school work but when she has so much school work she tends to get distracted easily and forgets about her actual school work which happens most of the time.
Holding Back
Nice day
The theme my artworks were centered around was personal emotional identity. I chose this as my theme because I wanted to show my emotions through art. The first artwork named "Holding Back" shown is about holding myself back. I designed the composition in this manner because I wanted the colors on the hands to show how my emotions and the colors in the background show how the situation can be a good thing if I give it a try. In this artwork, I used a reference of my hands. On the right hand, I chose this position to show lingering feelings to go ahead and get out of my comfort zone. On the left hand, this was the position I chose because I wanted to show how I was the one holding myself back from trying out new things. This artwork fits with my theme because this is a part of one of the conflicting feelings I experience in my life.

Under The Moonlight
Nine Tailed Fox
The theme I am working on this year is Chinese traditional culture, I choose this theme because I really like Chinese traditional culture but some of them were disappearing over time, I want to use this chance to save them in my artworks. The first artwork here is about Chinese martial art and martial heroes, this artwork was inspired me by a TV show. I design the composition this way because I try to put all the elements I choose together, I want there will be a foreground, middle ground, and background in this artwork. All the objects in this artwork are important, in my own opinion, they are indispensable. Martial art is very common in Chinese literature, they are characterized by amazing martial arts skills. The second artwork here is about a mythical beast, a nine-tailed fox, it is not very common in Chinese traditional culture. It actually symbolizes auspiciousness, but later it was being given a vicious image. I still think it is a positive mythical beast, therefore I make the back of the fox and a person sit on its back watching firework together, to give a peaceful mood. The representative symbol in this artwork is the firework, because firework usually uses to celebrate something, they only appear in a positive situation. This artwork fits my theme because it is a traditional mythical beast, and I am trying to bring back its original symbol. Some techniques I used in these artworks are including, I add different layers of watercolor to create its shading in the first artwork, and I used a white color pencil to draw the texture of its fur stoke by stoke in the second artwork. This year I learned much new important knowledge about art, which will influence me to create better artwork in the future.
Using phone in class
Bullying
My theme is why students don't like going to school. The first artwork I made was about students using their phones in class while the teachers are teaching us. Students are addicted to social media and that also includes me. The first artwork relates to me because I also like using my phone in class. I try to avoid it but by looking at other students, I miss my phone and feel like using it. The first artwork fits in my theme because if the teachers tell students to put their phones away then they would be mad and lose interest in school. Teachers are telling the students to keep their phones away for them to learn but they take it in a negative way. The second artwork I made was about bullying. I have heard about bullying everywhere and students suiciding because of getting bullied. But, I have never experienced it and I hope I won't. But, before coming to Newtown, I would always be afraid if the people there are going accept me or not. Will the people from the school bully me. This artwork fits with my theme because many students are afraid to come to school. They are scared by the bullies and they won't feel like going to school. For the both artworks, I mostly used the technique of line. First artwork, I used colored pencils, crayons, and pencil. For the second artwork, I used sharpie and pencil only. By making these artworks I learned that school is important but student's mental health is also important. Students should speak up if they are getting bullied or having stress. They shouldn't keep it a secret. The students will stop using their phones if they also have fun. Our teachers should take away everyone's phone and then in the end they could give it back to us. These designs will help me in the future because I think I have learned a little how to draw. I have understand that shapes help us draw and it will be easier for me because now I could only think about what kind of shape is the object that I am going to draw.

It's You Again
手紙
The Letter
My theme is the steps in which young people fall in love. The first artwork, titled "It's You Again", shows how young people build relationships through crossing paths. This artwork was meant to encapsulate the feeling one has when you see the same person around you and begin to develop a relationship - which could not necessarily be love, but is in this case. The artwork is meant to show their unfamiliarity with one another - the stage before "talking". I wanted to translate the feeling of making eye contact with that "someone", hence I used panels similar to comic style artworks which is prevalent in my other works. My second artwork titled, "The Letter", shows how their relationships and feelings change after a love letter. The love letter, given by the girl, affects the boy's feeling after he realizes her feelings for him. I wanted to portray the shyness both sides feel when the other confesses while showing the innocence of the two characters. As you can see, the letter is a very important aspect of this artwork as it symbolizes their feelings for each other and brings in a sense of mystery of what their relationship will turn into because of it. Both of these works were made with an app, so it is digital art. I struggled at first when trying to transfer what I have learned using traditional mediums into digital art, but I had figured it out along the way. The first involves a lot of texture in order to show depth while the second focuses on shadows to add depth. This year I learned that as long as I put my mind to it, I will be able to overcome the obstacles I faced. Since we did not have any in-person classes, I bought a tablet in order to learn how to do digital art. My artworks show my progress in digital art and acts as proof to myself that I could do it as long as I try. I will definitely do more digital art in the place of traditional art while the world in coming back into normality and do them both once it does.
