Professionalism

This page is dedicated to my role in the building, the different committees I am a part of, and what I have done for the school and the school community.

This includes a PLO that I attended and adapted into my own practices and presented a PD to the ELA department with Ms. Harb.

I am a member of the school safety committee, attendance committee, and have helped with Sparkle and Shine activities. I was part of the Summer Curriculum Team to help set up Word Gen slides for this school year, and I share teaching materials with colleagues both in and out of common planning periods.In addition, I did the ELA morning enrichment program for ELA state test prep.

I have helped set up technology throughout the building, such as Smart Boards, Promethean Boards, printers, and MAP growth tests to assist Mr. Jablow. I am a Google Certified Educator and an Apple Teacher, so I am familiar with using both platforms in the classroom for various activities.

I am a chat moderator and assistant for the PTA, and I run the school newspaper, The Blackwell Buzz. I have also been a judge for two different debates, and assisted with the virtual science expo for the 2020-2021 school year.

For every year that the Big Brother/Sister program has been a part of this school, I have been a big brother to numerous students.

Later this year, I will be part of a pilot program for an Into to Literature Program with Ms. Kargol.

I also worked collaboratively with Ms. Miceli to get a $2,000 grant for the MS210Q Elizabeth Blackwell Green Team, to get proper bins and materials to allow our school community to recycle and throw out waste as it should be.

I am also a Google Certified Educator and an Apple Teacher.
