What is healthy eating?
Healthy eating is eating a balanced meal everyday. If you want to start healthy eating, you have to start doing nutritious food choices, and you should also eat a variety of foods that give you the nutrients you need to maintain your health.
Why is nutrition important?
Nutrition is important because you need it for your body to function and it gives your body energy. It is also important because it can reduce the risk of cancer, gives your bones strength. It boots your immunity, improves your gut health, and improves your sleep.
Here are some things people can do to improve their nutrition:
Try to eat more vegetables, fruits, whole grains, lean proteins, and some low-fat dairy products. If you want to improve your nutrition more you can try to eat more whole grain products, low fat products, and non-fat milk.
A majority of students do not eat a balanced meal each day. Eating a balanced meal is important because it helps your body function and gives your body energy. It is possible that some students do not know what a balanced meal is.
A healthy balanced meal is a meal with fruits, vegetables, grains, proteins and dairy.
Most students at PS 376 take vitamins but 46.5% do not. Some vitamins are good for your immune system.
Vitamins A,C,E,D, and Elderberry are all good for your immune system.
A lot of students said that they do not eat unhealthy food or snacks which is good. However, 38.7% do eat unhealthy foods or snacks which is okay sometimes just not every day. Below are some healthier snack choices.
