Students need to request a letter of recommendation from teachers through SCOIR.Â
Counselors are not listed on SCOIR, and you must use the Guidance Counselor Portal form linked HERE.
Only ask 1 or 2 teachers for a letter of recommendation (most schools will only require 1 or 2)
Ask the teacher in person if they will write a LoR for you, before you request them on SCOIR
Complete your Profile on SCOIR since most teachers will use that to help write your LoR.
Check with the colleges you're applying to, to see if they require a Counselor LoR.
