Why Join Us
The summit is a unique and powerful opportunity for family members and educators to talk about the lives of students, the success of schools, and ways we can be better together. Choose from more than 50 workshops, visit resource tables, and participate in other activities designed to help families and educators create the strong partnership relationship students need to thrive!
During the summit, you will:
Reflect on the experiences students are having in school and the support they need from adults.
Share your ideas about strong family school partnership: what's working and what could improve.
Bring energy and focus to district family school partnership efforts.
Sending a District Team
The summit is about partnership. Let's walk the talk! Districts are strongly encouraged to send a partnership team of up to 12 people that includes both family members and educators (at least 25-50% should be family members).
Each team member needs to register for the summit.
Your team needs a designated District Team Lead who will help organize the team, support team members, and serve as a point of contact for Summit organizers.
In addition to family members and educators, your team could also include student representatives, community members, and other people vital to local family school partnership efforts.
More information about District Teams is available on the Registration page and Preparing Your District Team page.
Individuals who are not affiliated with a District Team can also register for the Summit. Given the focus of the summit, however, we strongly encourage interested educators to work with your district to send a team of educators and family members (there is limit of 2 seats for districts sending only staff/educators).
Thinking of sending a team? Have your District Team Lead join a short information call! Pick one of these times:
Supporting Family Members
Family members, we need you! You can participate in the summit as a member of a District Team, on your own, with other parents/caregivers, or with teachers or educators.
Family Members will receive a $75 stipend to support your participation.
Interpretation support will be provided for family members who request it.
If you are a member of a District Team, your district will help arrange transportation if you need it.
If you are not coming with a District Team, summit organizers will work with you to try to identify a good transportation option.
