FAIR GUIDE / BOOK FAIR WEEK / CLASSROOM WISH LISTS

A LIST FOR ALL CLASSES

1. Go to the online template for the Classroom Wish List in English and paste the information into a new document. Once you have your own version, fill in your school’s name and Fair dates.

2. Send the wish list link(s) to teachers with the email text below and ask them to fill out the document(s) with book titles. If you're using links to books, make sure they are through the Book Fairs homepage, not Scholastic Store Online—otherwise you will not get the 25% reward!

3. Have teachers and parents ask students which books they would like to have in their classroom libraries and why. Parents can help their child send requests to teachers.

4. Hold a random drawing for parents/students who purchase a book from a Classroom Wish List. The winner gets a prize!

LETTER TO TEACHERS

Dear Teachers:

Our Scholastic Book Fair is almost here! Before the Fair, I'd be grateful if you’d add books to your Classroom Wish List at [LINK TO CLASSROOM WISH LIST DOCUMENT]. In my outreach to the school community, I’ll share your list with parents and families who are eager to help you build your classroom libraries.

In putting together your Classroom Wish List, don’t forget to consult the experts: your students! They’ll be happy to suggest books they’d like to see in your classroom. Visiting our Book Fair’s online shopping site with your class is a great way to fill out your Wish List. You’ll find an expanded selection of exclusive books, new releases, value packs, and more for your classroom. I’ll remind families that all purchases from your Wish List earn rewards for our school.

Save these dates and view our school’s Fair site:

Thank you for all you do to inspire our lifelong readers!
