Our mission as teachers: Creating peaceful environments to learn and practice self advocacy and creativity. (That carries over into society).
In this class, students explore answers to the following essential questions:
How can young people use their voice for social impact?
How can community be important to educational outcomes?
How does storytelling impact social entrepreneurial success?
How can small actions have a big impact?
This class was built from the amazing Rene deBerardinis from Springside Chestnut Hill Academy!
Ms. deBerardinis created this course through Springside Chestnut Hill Academy's Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership.

Ms. Paris
(Paris Gramann)
I am the Assistant Director of the Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership (CEL Program) at Springside Chestnut Hill Academy (SCH). At SCH, I teach 6th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade Social Impact Entrepreneurship. I have a small business called Empower Creative Agency LLC where I work with adults on project management for creative endeavors. I also am a part-time Design Researcher for Drexel University on two Social Impact/Product Design Research Projects. I love helping people (of all ages!) find their passions and turn them into reality!
Ms. Julie
(Julie Knutson)
I'm an author-educator based in the Chicago-area, who is beyond thrilled to be working with SCH's young social entrepreneurs this term!
Prior to shifting to life as a full-time writer, I taught middle and high school history, worked as a curriculum writer for an arts non-profit, and curated book collections for K-12 libraries. When I'm not typing away at my computer, I can be found chasing my 7 year-old son, Theo or 1.5 year old border collie!
