Sports Program

The SCUSD Youth Development Support Services has partnered with SCUSD Sports program to bring high quality, engaging sports teams to school sites.

Alongside the Team Coach , Expanded Learning is tasked with monitoring our students during off hours, practice and on campus games.

After school / After Practice care available until 6 pm.

In order for us to allocate the necessary fund for the sports teams, all players should have an Agreement for Participation form on file with Expanded Learning.

Please download the form, fill it out and return to Mr.Axel. (One per student per year)

We accept digital copies of the forms or paper forms.

Please note that the participation for the sports teams is the same for the school year. If you have submitted an application for the 2024-2025 school year, you do NOT need to submit another participation form.

Tryout Policy

All of Genevieve Didion policies regarding athletics follow those set forth by the Sacramento City Unified School District, whose policies are based on the Rules associated with each sport in season.

Other factors used to determine the final rosters will be experience, ability level, and demonstrated commitment during tryouts. Questions about these criteria should be directed to the appropriate coach.

Didion coaches will run the tryout program and determine the final roster. They are given the discretion to make these determinations and neither the school staff or athletic director will overrule this process.
