The BRIDGE Law is designed to help students explore their aptitudes and career interest and learn about the various careers and post-secondary opportunities available to them. All middle school students are working with their school counselor to complete the BRIDGE Law activities required for their grade level.
YouScience is a great resource, with great insight into YOU; it can truly help you explore careers and further your career development. From learning your top talents and main interests, to how you contribute to a team, to providing top career matches and what majors can help you get there. The assessment consists of 7 brain games that are used to identify what you are naturally good at and what you like to do. This information is then used to match you with careers that might be a strong overall fit for you.
Students will complete YouScience starting in 6th grade and will complete activities each year as required the State of Georgia SB 3/Creating Opportunities Needed Now to Expand Credentialed Training (CONNECT) Act and the SB 401/Quality Basic Education (QBE) Act. Many of the activities associated with these Acts were formerly known as the BRIDGE Bill requirements. Although the names have changed, students still must complete the requirements associated with each Bill.
In accordance with the State of Georgia SB 3/Creating Opportunities Needed Now to Expand Credentialed Training (CONNECT) Act and the SB 401/Quality Basic Education (QBE) Act, we will send out the following information regarding the dual enrollment program to 8th grade students and families; but wanted to ensure the resource is always available.
