I'm Mr. Taylor, the Photography, Digital art & Graphic Design teacher here at Savannah Arts Academy.
Originally from South Jersey, I moved to Savannah in 1996 to attend the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in 3D Animation as well as my Master of Fine Arts with a concentration in Motion Graphics. After graduating from SCAD, I worked professionally as a post production manager, web-master, web-designer, graphic designer, videographer, editor and production artist. I have taught in all levels of education. I began my teaching career at Thunderbolt Elementary, and has since taught middle school students at the SCAD Art Smarts summer camp and was also an adjunct professor at the University of Phoenix Savannah Campus. For the past 10 summers I travel to Lugano, Switzerland were I teach digital photography and as a campus photographer. I am currently a Visual Arts Department Chair at Savannah Arts where I teach Photography I, II, III, Digital Art I, II, III & Graphics I. I've had students win awards and recognition for their work at the local, state and national level.
