Course Description:
Enhances level-one skills and provides opportunities to apply design elements and principles in the production of applied design art products and/or designs such as architecture, advertisements, graphic designs, environmental designs, and product designs. Uses board- and computer-generated designs for art products. Covers how to create designs and plan design presentations.

A $45.00 lab fee will be due from each student which will cover the cost of ink and paper for prints. Checks must be payable to Savannah Arts Academy. Leave the date blank.
Evaluation:
Assessment: Class work, homework, Critiques, discussion 40%
Formal Assessment:written tests, performance 60%
Course Requirements/Expectations:
Attendance
Attendance will be taken daily. It is the student’s responsibility to make arrangements for missed work. Three days will be granted for make-up work with an excused absence or the student will receive a zero for the assignment.
Late Work Policy
All work turned in late will lose a letter grade each day it is late. After 5 days, late work will not be accepted.

100 - On time
90 - 1 Day Late
80 - 2 Days Late
70 - 3 Days Late
60 - 4 Days Late
50 - 5 Days Late
0 - 6 Days Late
Tutorial

Visual Art Applied Design Standards
VAHSAD.CR.1 Visualize and generate ideas for creating applied design art products and/or designs.
