Our programs strive to offer diverse and inclusive learning options to provide students with engaging and authentic learning experiences. We understand the pandemic created economic, emotional, and medical hardships for many families, and we are committed to doing everything we can to assist with the transition back to school this fall. Our faculty will be receiving professional development to ready them for this process. We are excited to meet your child and to help them reach their goals!

We are working with our Educational Model team to develop our plan for return to school this fall. We created this website to help families explore options as they make a decision for a return to school as well as this Q and A Document. This website has the following pages to explore. Elementary Plan

This page outlines three options families have as they consider their needs and situations. The first option is to return to in-school learning at their regular school with the understanding that we may be required to return to remote at anytime. The second option is our newest addition - to participate in remote, synchronous experiences with SCASD teachers using our SCASD curriculum. The third option is to enroll in our elementary virtual academy which employs more asynchronous, independent, and more flexible experiences. We have created the graphic above to help families visualize these three options. Attendance will be taken daily, and it is expected that students participate fully in all classes, including specials. This expectation is the same for in-school learning remote learning, and our virtual academy. If we move to remote learning again, our remote learning site will provide families with the support needed to navigate the remote environment.

We know that making a decision about which approach is best for your family is very challenging given the many factors that could impact returning to school. To support families, we are working to create a flexible approach to decisions families make when the district makes a change to its plan based on available space and staffing.

The information on this site is subject to change. Knowledge about COVID-19 and best practices for responding to the pandemic continue to evolve. For this reason, our educational plans will also continue to evolve. Please check back periodically to review updated information on this site.
