In elementary social studies, we tap the natural curiosity of children and provide them with in-depth learning experiences. It is a hands-on and minds-on program. The students ask questions, make inferences and connect social studies to their lives.
Throughout the social studies curriculum, students compare and contrast cultures of diverse populations. The K-5 social studies units are organized using cultural universals as a framework for exploring different cultures. Cultural universals are the elements common to all cultures across place and time.
