Hispanic Heritage Month

Did you know that Hispanic Heritage Month is from September 15th through October 15th? During this time, we celebrate the people, cultures and traditions from the various Spanish-speaking countries around the world!

In class, we are...

• Identifying the 21 countries around the world whose official language is Spanish

• Learning about some famous Hispanic-Americans who have made contributions to society

• Listening to songs from Spanish-speaking countries and making comparisons and connections

• Discovering and describing some cultural artifacts from Spanish-speaking countries

• Reading books about or written by people from the Hispanic & Latino communities
