¡Bienvenidos!

¡Hola! My name is Señora Rodríguez and I am the Spanish teacher for Grades 2-5 at Edgewood. 

The FLES program is designed to introduce students to basic vocabulary words and phrases necessary for simple communication in Spanish. Listening skills are emphasized in order to provide students with a natural learning experience, similar to how we learn our first language.  Cultural elements are also incorporated into the curriculum to not only teach students about other cultures, but to help them make connections and comparisons to their own as well!
