I am very excited to be starting my second year in the Scarsdale School District as a 4th Grade Teacher at Heathcote.
Before joining the team at Heathcote, I taught for one year at Edgewood and in the Bronx for 10 years.
Through-out my career I have taught Kindergarten, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th. I can't wait to teach 4th grade again this year!
I LOVE teaching. As a lifelong learner, I take immense joy in instilling that same passion for learning in my students. I see it as my role to guide them on their educational journey, and nurture their growth along the way.
I am incredibly excited to become part of the Heathcote community and meet all of you!
I grew up in the Capital and Adirondack region of New York and I currently live in Peekskill with my fiancé and our two cats.
Since I grew up in a rural area, I have a true love of nature and the outdoors. Whether it's gardening, swimming, camping, hiking, kayaking, biking, running, rafting etc- outside is where I want to be.
I love to travel and adventure locally as well as worldwide. Nothing is more fun than learning about and exploring a new place. Food, sites, history, and adventure, yes please!
If I can a lot my adventures include seeing animals. I've gone on excursions to see moose, whale sharks, bears, penguins, hippos, and giraffes.
