Infant-directed speech is different from speech we use to engage with our pets!!!
We don't exaggerate our vowels in pet-directed speech.
We may exaggerate vowels to someone who doesn't speak our language, but do not increase our emotion.
IDS is a combination of pitch, emotion and vowel exaggeration!
