Hello, I am Mr. Guzman! 

I am the Math 8 and IM1 teacher for the ‘25-’26 school year. 

This is my first year teaching. I have been a substitute teacher for the La Mesa-Spring Valley School District (LMSV) and the San Diego Unified School District (SDUSD) for the past four years, while pursuing my teaching credential at the University of San Diego. 

In both Math 8 and IM1 math classes, I strive for student understanding of the mathematical concepts. It is more than remembering formulas and plugging in values; it is about understanding these formulas with the use of real-world problems and their applications.
