Hello, I am Mr. Guzman! 

I am the Math 8 and IM1 teacher for the ‘26-'27 school year. 

This is my second year teaching at IBCS. I have been a substitute teacher for the La Mesa-Spring Valley School District (LMSV) and the San Diego Unified School District (SDUSD) for the past six years, while pursuing my teaching credential at the University of San Diego. 

In both Math 8 and IM1 math classes, I strive to foster students' understanding of mathematical concepts. It is more than remembering formulas and plugging in values; it is about understanding these formulas through real-world problems and their applications.
