Attitudes In Reverse® or AIR™ offers a comprehensive mental health plan to educate youth, from elementary level through college-age. AIR's programs are wrapped in messages of understanding, empathy and kindness towards all. At AIR, we believe that good mental health programming makes the best anti-bullying and suicide prevention plans. Breaking down stigma allows AIR to help identify youth who are at risk. Programs are also available for parents, teachers and all school staff. Certified AIR Dogs, therapy dogs, accompany all program presenters.

The BRIDGE Center

The BRIDGE Center is a dynamic partnership between South Brunswick School District and Rutgers University Behavioral Healthcare (UBHC), a division of Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. The primary objective of the program is to help assure that pre-teens and teenagers have readily available access to quality counseling and other support services.
The BRIDGE Center provides a range of free, confidential recreational and mental health services at South Brunswick High School and Crossroads Middle Schools to all middle and high school students. Services include individual, group, and family counseling, conflict resolution, parent support groups and recreational programming. Referrals to the center can be made by students, parents or school staff. Parental permission is required for participation.

Poonam Patel is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of New Jersey. She has worked with sexual abuse and domestic violence clients as well as adolescents with behavioral, intellectual, and developmental challenges. She has also worked in outpatient settings with individuals, families and couples.
In 2019, she founded Phoenix Wellness Center where individuals and families can get exceptional counseling services to improve personal wellness and successfully balance the many facets of their lives.

SBHS PRISM Alliance

The SBHS gender and sexuality alliance. We provide LGBTQ+ identified individuals and their allies with a safe place to discuss the issues facing them on a daily basis. It is also very important that we maintain the confidentiality of those students that identify as members of the LGBTQ+ community, but have not yet come out to their friends and/or family by the motto of "What happens in PRISM, stays in PRISM." We will hold regular meetings throughout the school year and will invite special guests to join us whenever possible. All individuals with open minds and warm hearts are welcome!
