Personal Development, also known as Guidance, is a universal level (whole class) intervention using lessons and/or curriculum. Classes build on our Wolf Den time where students are taught by their classroom teacher the Second Step curriculum. We cover such topics as: Bullying prevention, kindness, emotional identification and management, resolving conflicts, acceptance and inclusiveness of others, self-concept, and working together. When possible, the classes are experiential in nature where students get to practice the skills and not just talk about them.Â
