Metals Fabrication

Class Description

The Metal Fabrication class should be one which allows students to gain further experiences in all welding systems.  Students will improve their understanding of the procedures of welding and the process of the technique.  Class members will spend many hours practicing a variety of metal working techniques and performing out of position welds.  An understanding of electricity and its hazards will be incorporated into its role in welding.  Students will also develop a project plan which will consist of a list of materials, bill of materials, drawing; showing three different views and a write up explaining the procedure to follow during the construction of the project.  Students who enroll in this course are eligible and encouraged to join FFA.  If the student elects to join FFA, he/she will be eligible to participate in FFA contests and trips.  Many of the class activities may be closely related to FFA but ALL Students are expected to participate in ALL class activities.

Due to the nature of this class, there is not a google classroom.  This class is all lab based and attendance is required.
