Body Structure and Function

This course is designed to give the student a working knowledge of the body structure and function from the cell (simple to complex) of all systems of the body by providing activities that build on understanding of the human anatomy and physiology. Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:

1. Explain the various structures of anatomy beginning with the simple and advancing to the complex. 

2. Explain various concepts and principles of chemistry needed to achieve a broad understanding of the functions of the human body. 

3. Examine the function of the organ systems of the body beginning with the simple and advancing to the complex.
