Basic Nursing Assistant

Class Description

This course is designed to provide students with the essential knowledge and skills to deliver basic care to resident/clients of healthcare facilities. Topics include: resident rights, communications, safety, observations, reporting and assisting resident/clients in maintaining basic comfort and safety. Upon completion of the course, the student will arrange to take a written or oral examination and will demonstrate skill competency. The course is designed to meet the training requirements of the federal and Nebraska state law for nursing assistants working in licensed facilities.
