Period 1 Band

Class Description

• Band is a full-year course. The class focus is on continuing education in instrumental music, specifically in the areas of woodwind and brasswind techniques and performance. The following are part of the High School Band: Marching Band (first semester only). The Bearcat Marching Band performs at all home football games, marching band festivals, and several local parades with emphasis on teamwork and discipline. Pep Band performs and promotes school spirit while at selected winter sports events. Concert Band (end of first and all second semester) performs concerts and at selected festivals with an emphasis on intermediate to advanced wind literature and performance techniques.
