A CLASS DIVIDED

Film Review by Ada
A Brief Synopsis:
This film is about a third grade teacher in Iowa named Jane Elliott who developed an experiment where she turned her class against each other based on their eye color. She taught the kids about racism and what it feels like. It’s unbelievable how the kids changed in just fifteen minutes because of what she told them.
What Should We Learn From This Film?
This film confirmed the idea that racism is something taught. People aren’t born racist, it’s what the people around them tell them to think. I learned how fast a group of people can turn against each other and feel discriminated against.
Conclusions & Recommendations
I really liked the whole film. I thought it had a fascinating topic and was executed well.
I would definitely recommend this film. It has such a powerful message and shows so much about people.
