Band Camp Begins 7/22 at 9AM!!
Parking Lot Concert 5/20
Thursday at 6:00 PM we will be having a concert in the Baler Alley Parking Lot. Students need to be here at 5:00PM wearing their masks, black band polo shirt, black pants, black socks, and black dress shoes if they are in the wind or percussion section. Hilda will be in touch with details for what the colorguard is wearing. Students who are doing both colorguard and wind or percussion should wear the colorguard uniform.
The idea behind this is to make it like a drive-in movie where each family stays in their car. There will be a seating area in front of the car parking for those who cannot bring a vehicle but please bring your own chair. If you are outside of your vehicle, please maintain 6 feet of social distancing between families and wear a mask. I am looking for a few volunteers to help guide traffic. If you can do this, please let me know.
2021 Banquet 5/27
May 27th at 6:00 PM will be our annual banquet! Pre-packaged food and drinks will be served (likely sandwiches from a local shop) and the evening will be full of games, awards, and the announcement of our 2021 Field Show music.
Just like the concert, this will be "drive-in" style. There will be a stage and a virtual program you may all enjoy and there will be a seating area available for those who need it and bring their own chairs. Masks and social distancing between non household members will be required when outside of a vehicle.
Students should have already replied to their section leaders regarding if they are coming and how many guests will be with them.
Finale Rally 5/28
We have accepted an invitation from the ASB to play for the In-Person Finale Rally on may 28th at 7:30. Students are to meet in the band room at 6:30 PM wearing their full class B uniform including music masks (as described for the concert). We will warm-up and proceed to the stadium where we will march in and play the Star Spangled Banner. The event ends at 8:30.
Equipment Return 5/20 or 5/28
All instruments and equipment must be returned without exception by the evening of May 28th after the rally. This includes microphones, instruments, flags, drum pads, and more. All school owned equipment and supplies must be returned. If you are not participating in the Finale Rally Performance, please return all items immediately following the concert on the 20th. There will be no exceptions to this so that I may complete our yearly inventory and maintenance. Instruments will be available to be checked out a week or two after this.
