A questionaire has been developed which will identify digital resources you have access to, and equally identifies those who do not have those resources. Every effort will be made by the University to make sure that no student is disadvantaged by a lack of technology or online facilities. The questionaire will appear here when published. Please fill it in ASAP. The following is a list we have identified that is crucial for your success in the digital environment of New Media Art.
A Computer with audio and visual capabilities (preferable to a Tablet)
A Tablet such as an iPad (workable but some activities and access to software might be restricted)
A mobile phone, with camera (workable for accessing emails, MyUWS and some creative input, but not ideal)
Relevant software (this will be provided by the University upon enrolment (Microsoft Suite, Adobe Suite (on campus), Digital conference facilities, Administration packages). In addition you will utilise Moodle, MyDay and other web based teaching aids.
Internet Access (the faster the better)
The above will allow you to work from home but if you do not have access to these facilities then the University will prioritise you with access to campus facilities if required.
