Dear Students, a very warm welcome to all of you! Everyone in the New Media Art team is looking forward to working with you and supporting your study at UWS. Even amid this Covid-19 pandemic, you are here- fully committed to investing in yourself and your future. Our discipline encourages us to reimagine the world through arts and technology, and this approach is more urgently needed than ever, and through critical discussions of social and cultural contexts and exploring various creative platforms, you will not only be able to enhance and broaden your skills but also identify and try out various new applications and creative media approaches.
We all have witnessed the emergence of a new normal, and ongoing global issues including climate change, political upheaval and social and racial injustice. Here are opportunities for new media artists to take part in these important discussions and developments by producing original works that fully utilise your critical reading, creative interpretations, and technical articulations. With like-minded brilliant peers and passionate teachers, you will be further motivated and achieve your personal goals during your time at UWS.
Thank you for joining our New Media Art community at UWS and we look forward to meeting you in person!
Warmest regards, New Media Art Team
