About Ms. Gomez

Hello Everyone!

My name is Monique Huerta-Gomez, and I am currently the counselor at North Verdemont Elementary. In 2012, I earned a bachelors degree in Sociology from California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB), and in 2017 I earned a Masters in Counseling and Guidance from CSUSB. GO YOTES!

I have been a school counselor since 2017, I started out as a high school counselor. In 2019, life brought me to SBCUSD as an elementary counselor and I have loved every moment of it. I take pride in building connections with students, parents, and staff. I am here to be an advocate for all students it brings me joy to see students thrive and grow socially, emotionally, and academically.

I am very happy to be at North Verdemont and look forward to continuing to supporting all students, parents, and staff.
