Positive Behavior Intervention Systems (PBIS) Coach


Responsible for supporting administrators, teachers and staff in developing successful PBIS practices. The MTSS/PBIS Coach will provide direct support to staff and support the implementation of integrated, culturally, and linguistically responsive, multi-tiered systems of support in designated schools.  This includes modeling equity and culturally responsive practices in partnership with staff, providing hands-on support to Tier II and Tier III students and their families, in collaboration with school personnel, and coaching MTSS teams in analyzing student data, selecting effective educational strategies for diverse student body, and providing professional development to the school community in alignment with district and department goals.

Lead Social Worker Quadrant #1


Responsible for addressing mental health needs of students in assigned schools and serving as a district leader in coordinating training and engaging in committee work. Address mental health needs in the district. Represent the district MTSS Team to discuss/staffing student concerns. Coordinate professional development in assigned quadrant, i.e., SEL training, Suicide prevention training, Community SEL training. Coordinate skills trainers and providers. Serve as DCS liaison for assigned quadrant. Represent SBCSC district on community committees, as assigned by the Director. Chair the rapid response team for the quadrant of schools. Participate on the weekly district SAT team. Coordinate social work support for buildings in their quadrant when a crisis occurs using the process put in place by the district. Conduct bi-weekly social work staffing using standard district staffing process

Foster Care / McKinney Vento Liaison 

  • Accountable for supporting foster youth needs and ensuring mandated services to facilitate students’ attendance and access to an appropriate education. 
  • Liaise between schools, caregivers, parents, educational rights holders, group homes, and other agencies
  • Collaborate to develop intervention strategies and provide case management
  • Monitor student progress and make referrals
  • Improve coordination between community services, government agencies, housing, shelters, schools, and SBCSC to meet foster youth and family needs.
  • Accountable for providing services to children and youth in the McKinney-Vento program to help them overcome obstacles and barriers to receiving an education. 
  • Ensure eligible McKinney-Vento families receive educational services
  • Process referrals for medical, housing, substance abuse, and appropriate services
  • Ensure parents understand their educational rights
  • Post public notice of the educational rights of homeless students where students receive services (schools, family shelters, and community kitchens)
  • Create methods and documentation for tracking data of transient homeless students
  • Inform parents of transportation services
  • Develop relationships with nearby schools, shelters, and the community on behalf of the homeless students
  • Collaborate with nearby school districts to identify homeless students

Administrative Assistant 

Accountable for general office duties including answering phones, preparing correspondence that includes but will not be limited to mail/email/and filing. Maintains contact information for the School Climate Transformation Grant Advisory Committee Schedules all meetings and       activities associated with the grant. Ensures all meetings have required technical assistance and appropriate setup Keeps meeting minutes and correspondence regarding the grant.
