In 2004, St. Boniface School found itself in danger of closing due to an increasingly large financial drain on St. Boniface Parish. At that time, a group of parents formed the St. Boniface Support Group dedicated to raising funds to keep St. Boniface School open. It has been an effort that requires the support of all families involved with St. Boniface School.

In 2012, once again families banded together and were successful in raising $100,000 dollars in seven weeks to help fund the school. At that time, St. Boniface School revised its tuition policies to allow those families who participated in ongoing school fundraisers to receive scholarships that would help offset the cost of educating a child at St. Boniface School. Families who do not wish to work the fundraisers may decline the scholarships and pay the full tuition as stated in the tuition contracts.

Those families who wish to take advantage of the Parishioner or Community scholarships are required to work those fundraisers that are made up of shifts. These include Bingo, Reverse Raffle, Fish Frys and Garage Sale. Families may assign any family member (grandparent, aunt, and uncle, older sibling) to help fulfill their volunteer requirements. These fundraisers allow for fellowship for all families and should not be considered a hardship but an opportunity to be a partner in keeping St. Boniface School affordable.

Throughout the school year, St. Boniface School hosts a variety of events that are important to the school and/or the students and that may require volunteers. These include the Apple Fest float, Pie Bake, Santa’s Workshop, Grandparents’ Day, Academic Dash, and the End of the Year picnic, among others. While these are not fundraisers in the strictest sense, they are important to our fellowship and to our students. Information will be sent home as the events draw closer with details on how you can support them. Again, the fellowship and camaraderie are a blessing to all involved.
