Womankind is a nonprofit organization that works with survivors of gender-based violence to rise above trauma and build a path to healing. Womankind brings critical resources and deep cultural competency to help Asian communities find refuge, recovery, and renewal. They have a 24/7 hotline for survivors of gender based violence and provide counseling services over the phone, text and chat services (available Mon-Fri 10am-6pm), and shelter space. Highly trained helpline advocates can answer general questions about domestic violence, human trafficking, and sexual violence across the lifespan. Helpline advocates can provide crisis counseling and help develop basic safety plans. They can speak English, Spanish, and 18+ Asian languages and dialects including Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese, Tagalog, Hindi, Urdu, and Bengali. The 24-hour multilingual helpline can be reached at 1.888.888.7702. For more resources, visit www.iamwomankind.org.
