Dr.V. Manikandan Joined as an Assistant professor in the Medical Biotechnology department in December 2022. He completed his under graduation in Biotechnology at Vysya College, affiliated with Periyar University in Salem, Tamil Nadu, in 2016. His post-graduation on Master's in Biotechnology at the Department of Biotechnology, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, in 2018. He has done his PhD at the Department of Biotechnology, College of Science and Humanities, SRM institute of science and technology, Kattankulathur, Chengalpattu, Tamil Nadu. His doctoral research focused on screening the bioactive properties of peptides in In-Vitro and In-Vivo models (zebrafish embryos). Dr. Praveen Kumar has completed his B.Sc., Microbiology and M.Sc., Biotechnology in first class. From July 2010 to June 2012, he worked as a production editor for springer life science journal in scientific publishing services Chennai. He started his research journey by joining Ph.D., in SRM Institute of science and Technology, and completed his Ph.D., in 2018 from Department of Biotechnology were his research work was focused on evaluation of anti-diabetic activity using in vitro cell line model and in vivo (wistar rats) model. Soon after his Ph.D., he was selected as Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in SRM Institute of science and Technology, SRM Research Institute. His primary research was focused on evaluating different biological property and intracellular ROS scavenging activity linked to metabolic pathways involved in diabetic mellitus and cancer in novel peptides and pure compounds using in vitro cell line model and zebrafish and larvae in vivo model. He started his academic carrier as Assistant Professor in the Department of Medical Biotechnology, Institute of Biotechnology, Saveetha School of Engineering from October 2021. He has published 16 international and 1 national publications with a cumulative impact factor of 62.0 and has attended numerous national and international conferences over his research career.

Dr. Ieshita Pan has been working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medical Biotechnology, Institute of Biotechnology, Saveetha School of Engineering since April 2018 till present. She has been an academician for the past eight years. Dr. Ieshita completed her B.Sc.(Hons) and M.Sc. in Microbiology with First class and distinction. She started her journey as a Lecturer in Microbiology in Boston College for Professional Studies, Jiwaji University, Gwalior from September 2006. At the end of January 2007 to May 2008 she was working as a Technical supervisor in R&D Biotech of Cadila Pharmaceuticals, Gujrat where her primary research was focused on synthetic media formulation for the growth of bacteria, Nano gold conjugate production and fastest HIV detection kit formulation. She completed her Ph.D in 2013 from Department of Botany, Visva Bharati, a Central University of West Bengal in the field of Agricultural Microbiology (Composting) as an UGC (project) JRF and SRF. Soon after her Ph.D she was selected as a Post Doctoral Fellow in the Department of Microbiology, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel, where her primary research was focused on protein misfolding and its secretion from the eukaryotic system via exosome or exosome like vesicle. Dr. Sathya A B is currently working as an Associate professor in the Department of Medical Biotechnology. She is an innovative researcher, mentor, and educator who has a persistent zeal for exploring beyond the limits of academics. She was a Post Doctoral Researcher in the Department of Biotechnology, National Institute of Technology Warangal, Telangana. She holds PhD degree from National Institute of Technology Calicut, Kerala. Her research interest covers production of biodegradable polymers, analysing their degradation behavior using vermicomposts and developing electrospun polymeric nanofibers for controlled drug delivery. Dr. Moogambigai Sugumar is an Assistant Professor in the Medical Biotechnology department since December 2022. She has a doctoral degree in Science and Humanities from the College of Engineering Guindy Campus, Anna University, Chennai. Dr Nibedita Dey has been working as an Assistant Professor in Department of Medical Biotechnology, Institute of Biotechnology, Saveetha school of Engineering since June 2019 till present. She has been an academician for the past five years. She has completed her undergraduate in B.Tech Industrial Biotechnology, where she worked on the isolation and identification of AmpC beta-lactamase genes from resistant gram-negative strains. By the time she completed her undergraduate, she had qualified for GATE 2012 in biotechnology. For master's, she bagged a meritorious seat in the center for nanoscience and technology, at Anna University, Chennai. Here she was exposed to nanomaterials fabrication and was quite interested in bioelectrode herself. She started her journey in research in January 2015 as an Anna centenary research fellow and later switched to DST- Inspire Fellow around October 2015.
