Cotillion for Achievement
Amount: $1,000 - $2,000
Deadline: Due to Ms. Crawford in the Counseling Center by October 10th
Students attending school in Andrew and Buchanan County that demonstrate high academic achievements, involvement in school activities and community service, plus high moral and ethical standards should apply. An ACT or SAT score is required. If selected as a Cotillion finalist, the student will need to attend "Adventures for Achievement" sessions, participate in the final interview, as well as attend the Cotillion Ball in February (a formal event). Please see Ms. Crawford for help with this as it is very detail-oriented.

Missouri Cattleman Scholarship Program
Amount: $1,000
Deadline: Online, October 13th
Applicants must be a Missouri resident and a current paid member of the Missouri Junior Cattlemen’s Association or the parent/legal guardian must be a current paid member of the Missouri Cattlemen’s Association. Students must meet the following requirements: 2.5 GPA or better, submit three (3) letters of recommendation, submit a transcript, and demonstrate leadership potential through extracurricular activities and work experience. Preference may be given to students who plan to attend a Missouri college or university & have financial need. Preference also given to those planning to major in an Agriculture field, Biochemistry, Food Science, and Nutrition and Plant Science. Patrick L. Newman Mic-O-Say Scholarship Program

The Newman Mic-O-Say Scholarship provides educational assistance to members of the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. This scholarship honors a man who spent a good part of his life involved with Boy Scouts. John T. Belcher Scholarship Program (MSBA)
Amount: $750-1,500

MSBA FutureBuilders established the scholarship program in memory of John T. Belcher, who was instrumental in developing innovative financing programs for Missouri school districts. The learning environment for thousands of Missouri’s public school students improved as a result of his work.
A $1000 annual scholarship is awarded to a student in each of MSBA’s 17 regions. Applicants are judged on the basis of academic performance, extracurricular activities and the quality of an essay. A statewide winner is selected from this group of regional winners and awarded an additional $1500.
Savannah may only nominate one student and the board of education will make the final selection as to who the district winner is. You may need to attach a separate sheet that includes your extracurricular activities, awards, etc. as there is not much room on the application to list activities. Elks Scholarship “Most Valuable Student”

Do not have to be a member of the Elks club. Must be a current high school senior with the intent to attend a 4 year institution after graduation. Open to all Eagle Scouts who are currently registered in an active unit and have not reached their 19th birthday during the year of application. (The application year is the calendar year, 01 Jan. to 31 Dec.) The year that Eagle was awarded is not restricted. College plans do not need to be completed in order to receive the cash scholarship. Three cash scholarship awards are given: As the National First Place winner - $10,000.00; Runner-up - $6,000.00; 2nd runner-up - $4,000.00. You may apply more than one year if you meet the age requirements but no more than $10,000.00 total may be granted to any one Eagle Scout. Entrants need to complete only one application -- the one for the chapter competition. Created to help students in rural communities attend college. Students must have 3.5 GPA, must apply for the FAFSA and have an Adjusted Gross Household Income of $100,000 or less reported for Federal Income Tax Purposes, and must work at least 240 hours a year. The intended recipient is a high-achieving goal-driven student having substantial financial need.

Applicants must rank in the top 10% of their class and must be citizens of the United States, and Missouri residents. They must attend a Missouri college/university EXCEPT for the Roberta Capps Scholarship, whose recipient may attend the college or university of his/her choice. GE Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program

Northwest Region MSTA Scholarship

The Northwest Region Association of the Missouri State Teachers Association, recognizing the need for the recruitment of outstanding people into the teaching profession, has established a scholarship fund to be used to assist students going into the field of education. This scholarship must be used at a college or university within the state of Missouri. The Northwest Region Association awards these for the purpose of attracting students to the profession of education. We are looking for students with outstanding ability and sincerity of purpose. The Scholarship selection will be based on: character and personality, scholastic record, aptitude for teaching, sincerity of purpose to the teaching profession, and financial need. Scholarship, as documented by high school transcript and need are primary factors in determining these awards. Applicants DO NOT need to be involved in a Kiwani's Club, if they are, it simply adds points to their application once it's evaluated. MFA Foundation Scholarship
Amount: $2,500

Eligibility: High school seniors who are children or grandchildren (including step-children or step-grandchildren) of a member of MFA Agri Services Centers, MFA Oil Company Bulk Plants, or qualified customers of other MFA agencies. Applicants must be a resident of Missouri, Iowa, Kansas, Arkansas or Oklahoma.
The scholarship winner is selected by a local committee, which considers the applicant’s:

The Missouri Women’s Golf Education Association, Inc. grants scholarships to high school students on one occasion per high school graduate. These are given in recognition of her overall academic record, community service activities, leadership and golf experience.
UCB Family Epilepsy Scholarship Program - online
Amount: Multiple $5000
Deadline: March 15th
UCB, Inc. will be awarding 33 one-time scholarships for people living with epilepsy or family members or caregivers who demonstrate academic and personal achievement. UCB will award 30 scholarships of up to $5,000 and 3 scholarships of up to $10,000 to people living with epilepsy, their family members, and caregivers pursuing higher education.
Thirty applicants who demonstrate academic and personal achievement will receive scholarships of up to $5,000 each. Two applicants will receive Epilepsy Leader Scholarships of up to $10,000 each honoring the late Sandra Helmers, MD, MPH, and the late John M. Pellock, MD, two prominent figures in the epilepsy community who passed away in 2016. Additionally, UCB will award one applicant the Joe D’Souza Memorial Scholarship of up to $10,000. This scholarship was created in 2019 in memory of UCB’s global medical director. The recipients of the Epilepsy Leader Scholarships and the Joe D'Souza Memorial Scholarship will demonstrate academic and personal achievement and will also exemplify some of the qualities that Drs. Helmers and Pellock were best known for, including a desire to advocate for and serve others, an interest in positively contributing to the epilepsy community, and a persevering spirit.

This is an application for multiple scholarships. Be sure to carefully read the application and select which scholarships you're applying for.
The application includes the following scholarships:
Murphy, Watson, and Burr Eye Center Scholarship
Awarded to a student with a strong background in science and a high GPA in science courses. Preference will be given to applicants pursuing a career in a science-related field.
The Dr. Wood-Martin Scholarship
Intended for a student planning to enter the medical field in any capacity. Applicants should demonstrate leadership, good character, and a strong record of community service throughout high school. Involvement in volunteering, shadowing, or mentoring is expected. Financial need is also a key consideration.
Trex Mart Scholarship
Open to students who are not graduating in the top 10% of the class. Preference is given to students who have demonstrated financial need and who have overcome personal hardship. Proof of enrollment in a university, community college, or vocational/technical school will be required before funds are released.
Kneale Scholarship
This scholarship supports deserving graduates of the Savannah R-III School District. While preference is given to students attending a vocational training school, it may also be awarded to those enrolling in a two- or four-year college program if no suitable vocational candidates are available. Selection criteria include good character, strong attendance, school involvement, academic performance, and financial need.

Her smile brought joy to others for years and this scholarship was set up to continue to “spread the joy” and to “be the change”. Due to Sierra’s diagnosis of Down Syndrome, she received Special Education Services. All students may apply, however priority will be given to students seeking a special education degree or students that received special services.

BTC AYBC EverFi Scholarship:

A total of six scholarships will be awarded to students who complete the EverFi Financial Literacy Program:

How to Participate:

Applicant is applying for/currently attending college, graduate school, or a skilled trade school (vocational or technical). Trade school students must be pursuing a program requiring one academic year or more for certification. An applicant could also be involved in a community and/or industry craft training program. Applicant is pursuing a career in the construction industry. Eligibility is not limited to students pursuing technical degrees. The foundation retains the right to determine if a major or program in which the student is enrolled meets this eligibility requirement. Applicants may be awarded only one scholarship annually. Amount: $500 (2 given)

Must be a female;
Must be a graduating high school senior;
Must attend school or live within the Missouri counties of Andrew, Atchison, Buchanan, Caldwell, Clay, Clinton, Daviess, DeKalb, Gentry, Grundy, Harrison, Holt, Livingston, Nodaway, Platte, or Worth;
Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
The application must be free of spelling/grammatical errors;
Must plan on attending an accredited school or university;
Must plan to obtain a business or finance degree.

Awarded to a student attending Missouri Western and majoring in Computer Science, if there are no applicants majoring in computer science, preference will be given to applicants going into a medical field. Criteria includes: 2.5 GPA on 4.0 scale, and not in the top 10%. In order to apply, you MUST be accepted into Missouri Western and ALSO fill out the general scholarship application through their website.

Deadline: Post-marked May 31st (If you want the counseling center to turn it in for you, all materials must be turned into the counseling center no later than May 8th)
Student must be a resident of Andrew County or Buchanan County
