GENERAL FACILITIES OF THE DEPARTMENT
The Department has Audio-visually equipped Teaching Halls, Well equipped M.Sc. Laboratories, Library, DST-FIST Computer Lab, Central Instrument Lab, Seminar Hall, 10 well equipped state-of-the-art Research Laboratories. Free high speed internet and Xeroxing facilities, Botanical Garden, Animal House facilities, Museum and Field Vehicle.

BOTANICAL GARDEN
The Department has a big protected Botanical Garden for its research purpose. Various ecological, physiological field studies are conducted in the Botanical Garden. A portion of this Garden is kept undisturbed from any anthropogenic activities to serve as a model natural grassland ecosystem of arid to semi arid Zone (Marginal Dryland)
ANIMAL HOUSE FACILITIES
The Department has a modern Animal House Facilities (CPCSEA approved) for rodents. The procured animals are housed in controlled conditioned for physiological, toxicological and immunological research.
MUSEUM
The Department has an approved Museum of Natural History for its PG teaching and research. The museum is particularly rich in Herbarium of plants of the Marginal Dryland and Intertidal Macrofauna of the Saurashtra Coast. The museum has no scheduled animals collected after the implementation of the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972. Most of the collections were done by the PG students and Research Scholars of the Department.
