My name is Mrs. Bradeen and I'm excited to see you all in music class this year!
I grew up here in Mount Washington Valley and have always been involved in music. I attended the University of Maine in Orono to earn my bachelor's degree in Music Education. My two major instruments there were clarinet and voice. My favorite part about being a music teacher is that I get to see all the kids in the whole school! I also love introducing the 4th and 5th graders to band instruments... it's so fun to start a new instrument! My goal for all of my music students is to foster a love of music so they ultimately become
life-long musicians.
My husband James and I have 3 kids - Nola, Olie and Hazel. I love being active and enjoy running, hiking, and Crossfit. I am a board member for Arts in Motion Theater Company. I'm often involved in their shows either performing onstage or behind the scenes as music director!
Hello! My name is Steven Cooney and I teach Physical Education at Mountainside Intermediate. This is my eighth year in the district and I am so happy to be a part of this great community. Every student has PE two times each week for learning, play, and cooperative activities. I get to work with all the students! This year students will be mountain biking and we even have a climbing wall in the gym. How cool is that?
I am so fortunate to live here in Mount Washington Valley. In addition to teaching PE I coach ski racing in the winter months and work as a rock climbing guide in the summer. What a place to call home! Most weekends and afternoons you will find me out hiking with my wonderful wife Krissy and our dogs Crosby and Lexi.
Have a great year Mountainside!
Hello! I am Mrs. Gagnon and I love libraries! I began to love reading and libraries when my mom would take me to our local public library. I participated in all of the summer activities offered and the rest is history. I love the Harry Potter series, audiobooks, and finding new books that draw me into their world.
Beyond reading, I love to take my dog for walks, watch my sons play their sports, and find fun things that we can enjoy together in our area. I love the water - lakes, the ocean, rivers!
Happy reading!

Mrs. Laird wants her students to be good members of society while learning important skills and history of art! She challenges her students to try new things, make mistakes, and show creativity and imagination. The most important thing of course is having fun while doing all of those things!
