Hello! My name is Abby Calitri and I have been teaching third grade for almost 10 years. I have also been a grade 4 teacher, a Title 1 interventionist and a paraprofessional. I am looking forward to this school year!
I graduated from Keene State College in 2011 with a degree in Elementary Education and my NH Teaching Certificate. I also have a second major in Mathematics for Elementary Educators and a specialization in Special Education. I grew up in the Plymouth, NH area.
I always knew I wanted to be an elementary school teacher. My grandmother loves to tell the story of school vacations where my cousins and I played school and I insisted on playing as the teacher!
When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, baking and crafting, doing puzzles and playing games.
Hi! My name is Lauren Poutasse and I am a 3rd teacher. This will be my 7th year teaching. I started working as a Title I teacher before teaching 2nd grade and then 2/3 multiage.
I grew up in Massachusetts and attended Plymouth State University. I have a degree in Early Childhood Education with a certification in K-3. I loved New Hampshire so much that I chose to stay and live here when I graduated. I am passionate about supporting learners' social and emotional needs as well as their academic needs.
When I am not teaching I love to read, run, and take photographs. Living in New Hampshire has exposed me to some amazing wildlife and given my photography a focus. I also love spending time with my pup, Kali.
As a young girl growing up in northern New Hampshire I knew at a very young age that I wanted to be a teacher. After graduating from high school I attended Saint Joseph’s College in Standish, Maine where I received my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership.
My philosophy for learning is that each child is unique, and each child learns in their own way. One of my jobs as a teacher is to help each child discover his or her individuality and work alongside them to maximize it. It is my goal to create a community of learners who are committed to working hard and having fun. I want students to leave my classroom feeling confident that they can apply what they've learned in school to real-life situations. I also want my students to feel challenged and to have an enhanced passion for learning.
