What a beautiful morning to be standing here on the 50-yard line! Today is a day about connection, a new tradition, and the future.
Right now, we have two very special groups of Wildcats on this field. On one side, we have our Class of 2026. Our seniors, leaders, and role models, who are just months away from graduation. Let’s give them a big cheer!
And on the other side, we have our newest kindergarten Wildcat Cubs! They are full of energy, excitement, and eagerness to grow as they begin their journey to become proud members of our Wildcat community. Believe it or not, these amazing students will be the graduating class of 2038! Let’s give them a big and loud Wildcat cheer!
Now, kindergartners, I want you to look across the field at those seniors. They once were where you are…little Wildcats just starting their school journey. And believe it or not, in the year 2038, that will be YOU on the other side of the field! I know that sounds like a really big number, but trust me, it comes faster than you think.
Our seniors are here today to welcome you with open arms. They’re going to hand you a special t-shirt…your very first piece of Wildcat gear. When you wear it, remember that you’re part of something much bigger than just your classroom. You’re part of a school community that stretches from kindergarten all the way to high school graduation.
Seniors, as you hand off these shirts, know that you’re passing on more than fabric. You are passing on pride and the Wildcat spirit.
Kindergartners wear those shirts proudly, because one day, YOU will be the ones standing here, ready to cheer on the next group of little Wildcats.
So today, let’s celebrate the past, the present, and the future!
