Greetings! This is my second year at Groveton High School. I am a mom to three boys and in my free time I enjoy hiking, reading, and photography. I have the benefit of working with middle school students and helping with the transition to high school. I love that students are learning about who they are and who they want to be. They are learning to express their interest and independence. I am here to provide a safe place for all students to express themselves as they grow and learn.
Middle school students will participate in weekly guidance lessons. These lessons will help with teaching executive functioning skills such as planning, self-control, organization, and time management. Lessons will also teach self-esteem building, friendship, responsibility, and growth mindset.
Students feel free click the link below to watch other middle school students talk about challenges they face and how they cope.
Parents back to school time can be difficult for some students. Below is a link with some helpful resources to make this year a great year. As always I am here for students to talk to. Parents feel free to email or call me with any questions or concerns.
October is National Bullying Prevention Month. Below are some links about bullying and how you can help your student. Stop Bullying National Bullying Prevention Center
