Reading REQUIREMENTS
A MINIMUM OF 2 HRS OF INDEPENDENT READING WEEKLY. This is a weekly homework assignment.
FAQS (FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS)
When is the reading response due? It is always due on the first day of the school week...typically Mondays :) The assignment will be given as a DN.
Does my class novel books count for this ? No, anything we read during class does not count towards your weekly assignment.
Do I have to read anything specific? You can use anything other than textbook reading from other classes on your response. I would like to see you reading novels and books that are an appropriate fit for you. Please try to stay away from Graphic Novels every week, you can use them sometimes, but please challenge yourself!
What does the reading response look like? The response will be different questions, activities, etc. that you will be able to choose from every week and will answer/complete based on your reading for that week.
What will I need for the reading response? You will need to report back to me the page numbers you have read, the book title, author, and answer the required assignment.

Students will complete one independent reading book per month.
Students will complete a book talk/ book review two times between each round.
Students will complete weekly reading homework & show progression in reading/ planning.
