To obtain Mentor Teacher status, faculty must submit artifacts demonstrating proficiency across all components within Danielson’s domains with evidence of distinguished practice in a majority of the components.
The Teacher Quality Panel has identified a select number of Components within each domain as Priority Components; these are listed in the section below. Applicants must demonstrate distinguished practice in these areas. While the specific Priority Component may change across the rubrics, the balance between Priority and Choice within each Domain remains the same.
Distinguished Practice
Domain 1: Two Priority and one other component
Domain 2: Two Priority and one other component
Domain 3: Two Priority and one other component
Domain 4: Three Priority Components
Proficient Practice
Educators must demonstrate proficiency in all remaining components within each of the four domains.
Each of the professional areas has its own set of Danielson Rubrics, which are listed in full on the Self-Evaluation page. Priority Components have been identified for each rubric, and in each Domain. These Priority Components are located here.
