Welcome to Team Summit Social Studies! This year, we will be diving into a fascinating year learning about ancient World History. I am excited to support my students as you explore different historical periods and challenge yourself to grow.
Our goals include the following:
*Exploring and Using Sources: Learn how to find and interpret historical information.
*Celebrating Learning: Create projects that showcase what you’ve learned.
*Discovering Your Passion: Find what interests you about history.
*Developing Personal Strengths: Enhance critical thinking, communication skills, foster collaboration, cultivate research skills
*Creating a Great Learning Experience: Enjoy and share an engaging, fun, and enriching year together!
We’ll cover a variety of topics, including:
- Foundations and Themes of World History ✔️
- World Religions ✔️
- Ancient Rome ✔️
- The Middle Ages ✔️
- The Byzantine Empire ✔️
- The Golden Age of the Middle East ✔️
- The Renaissance and Reformation - We are here in May...
I do not think we can finish these last two topics with the new TCI materials...
I did try and there were so many great lessons - I wonder if you remember them like I do.
- The Scientific Revolution
- The Age of Enlightenment
I was looking forward to an exciting year of learning and discovery with you! Now we are reaching the end.
Thank you for a wonderful year! Ms Connelly
