FREADOM IS ... A GOOD BOOK & NO HOMEWORK!
Welcome to HB's Book Club!
We meet every TUE & THUR during CAVBlock to read, have a snack, and discuss new or favorite titles. We're book nerds, lit geeks, avid readers, and superfans ...and proud of it!
Our goal is to get our hands on as many new titles as possible - the good, the bad, and the ridiculous. Sometimes we happen upon a ringer, sometimes we discover a "disappointment to all of fiction." But that's okay! Another day, another title.
Join us to read, critique, snark on dialogue, swoon over main characters, or just watch book trailers.
For more information, email Mrs Heaton at christine.heaton@sau41.org about joining our Google Classroom.
Group Goals — “What we meet and read by”
Reading should be an easily accessible pleasure.
If you don't like it, stop it and move on. “Never stay in a bad relationship.”
'Book Nerding' makes you an awesome & interesting person.
There is no such thing as “too many books.”
Every reader is entitled to their own bookmark, favorite line, & perfect ending.
COLLECTION: ALL HBHS BOOK CLUB TITLES WE'VE READ!
The theme of Book Club title selections will be CHOICES. We're going to talk a lot about the power of choice, how it drives a narrative, as well as our own lives.

Thank you to the Toadstool Bookshop of Milford for helping to get us titles and ARCs.
THANK YOU TO THE JUNIOR LIBRARY GUILD FOR ADDING ABBY HOWARD
TO YOUR LIST OF AUTHORS! WE LOVE HER!
SY 2020-21 was a strange for everyone. But we kept on reading. Our weekly meetings added some stability to uncertain times in a safe, sanitized social space.
The group also grew this year - by leaps and bounds! We interviewed an author, shared donuts, discussed plot holes, celebrated birthdays, and added to our lists of favorite characters.
Book Club was the bright spot of my week all year long, and for that I thank you! This group is amazing!
Below are some of the reading flyers for titles we read together in SY20-21.
