Every Main Stage production of the HBHS Theater affords the opportunity for students to learn, develop, and master the art of behind-the-scenes theater stage craft.
Our Set Construction Crew works under our Master Builder and Stage Manager to plan, measure, and safely construct set pieces and large props for each show every Tuesday afternoon, 2:45 - 4:45, throughout the production process.
Set Construction Crew members must complete an interview with Mr. Barbosa AND submit a completed waiver form and contract form (found on the production-specific Google Classroom) before participating in any production.
Our Stage Crew work under our Stage Managers and Assistant Stage Managers throughout the latter portion of the production process to coordinate set changes, costume changes, microphone battery replacements, stage clears, and more for the shows.

Our Stage Managers and Assistant Stage Managers are trained to fulfill the duties of a professional stage manager, including record keeping, script notes and blocking, actor management, prop and costume mastering, technical coordination, show calling, conflict resolution, and craftsmanship.
Typically, each production operates with 2 Stage Managers and 1-2 Assistant Stage Managers depending on the needs of the show.

Specialized positions, including make-up design, set art, costuming, and public relations, are offered on an irregular basis depending on production needs.
