Here is a "to do" checklist to help you with what you need to do during your three remote learning days!
Read for 20 minutes per day. This may be done in smaller sessions throughout the day or all at once. You may choose some books you have at home, go on Epic, or Literacy Footprints, to read!
Listen to Chrysanthemum.
Draw a picture and/or write about how Chrysanthemum was feeling in the beginning, the middle, and the end of the story. Can you use any of the new vocabulary words we learned in Chrysanthemum?
Learn about the author and illustrator Kevin Henkes and about some of the other books he has made. Optional: Listen to Kevin Henkes read aloud another one of his books Kittens First Full Moon.
Feel free to print and use this paper! Or use any paper you have at home and fold it into three sections.
Some new vocabulary we learned while reading this book:
wilted: went from feeling happy to feeling sad
dreadful: very bad

Can you use any of these words in your How does the Character Change writing?
Activities to reinforce what we have learned about consonant L blends. Try writing all of the consonant L blend words you see in the story.
Pick an activity to practice your sight words!
We've been learning about using a teaching voice to teach others about something we know a lot about. Choose a game that you feel you know a lot about. Take time to write and use your teaching voice to teach others about the game you chose.
Have your child complete an extension for each UA class they do not have live this week. Contact the UA teacher(s) if you are unsure which lesson to complete.
