Why Take Summer School? Not all students need to take summer school.

1. You failed a class in semester 1 or semester 2 or in a previous year.

2. You do not have room for required classes in your schedule. You can take some classes during summer to ensure you can take classes you need for your program.

San Juan Unified Summer School

Signing Up for Summer School: Mira Loma School Counselors will sign students up for San Juan Unified Summer School during our meeting with students in February or March. 

• San Juan Unified: Counselors fill out a Google Form for each student to attend San Juan Unified Summer School

• If you fail a semester 2 class, you can show up at Del Campo or Will Rogers on the first day and ask to be signed up for a class.

Other Summer School Programs: Student/Guardian must sign themselves up for non San Juan programs. see the link below.

San Juan Unified Summer School Details

Watch your email for Summer School confirmation in May or June. 

Locations

Seated Summer School (Attend everyday of the summer session)

• Del Campo High School: 4925 Dewey Drive Fair Oaks- Must attend everyday from 8:30-2:30

• Bus Transportation - 

  • Pick up at Encina 7:45/Pick up at Mira Loma 8:00

  • Drop off at Mira Loma 2:40/Drop off at Encina 2:40

Independent Study Summer School (attend to take exams)

• Will Rogers Middle School: 4924 Dewey Drive Fair Oaks- Independent Study- MUST take tests at the site and can work on assignments at home- May attend any day they like, for as long as they like with their independent study teacher

Dates:

Session 1: June 16 - July 3 (No school June 20)

Session 2: July 8 - July 24

Times: 8:30-2:30- Breakfast & Lunch will be served
