Some of the best example of achievement are when students do not think they are good at something or excel in a subject they do not like and have a hard time in.
The image to the left is a drawing from one of my students who said she is terrible at art.
She also did not like science in any way, shape, or form.
However, she was able to understand food webs so extensively that she was able to create her own and illustrate it.

Jarred's contributions to our 5th grade team and students have been instrumental in our success this school year. Jarred possesses an abundance of knowledge when it comes to developing strategies to ensure students are high performing during small group and whole group instruction. His classroom management is apparent during interactions with students inside and outside the classroom, he values our students ideals and propels our students forward. As a first year teacher, he has already demonstrated the ability to collect data, reflect, and adapt to the needs of the students in his classroom and 5th grade as a whole.
