Revisiting Professional Growth Goals:
Initially, my professional growth goals revolved around enhancing my pedagogical skills, fostering a positive classroom environment, and effectively integrating technology into my teaching practice. Through continuous reflection and professional development opportunities, I aimed to refine my instructional strategies and deepen my understanding of student learning.
Upon completing my induction period, I revisited my CSTP (California Standards for the Teaching Profession) Self-Assessment to gauge my growth. I found significant progress in areas such as classroom management, differentiation, and the use of assessment data to inform instruction. However, I identified areas for further development, particularly in culturally responsive teaching practices and collaboration with colleagues.
Professional Goal Beyond Induction:
One professional goal I've identified beyond induction is to become a mentor teacher for pre-service teachers or new educators in my school or district. I believe mentoring is crucial for the growth and success of future educators, and I am passionate about supporting their journey in the profession.
