Sam Bauer

Sam Bauer is an LA based editor with a unique talent for handling dark complicated puzzle movies. Born and raised in Chicago, he graduated from The University of Iowa where he studied philosophy and English in the illustrious Writer’s Workshop. He edited the classic film “Donnie Darko” starring Jake Gyllenhall and Drew Barrymore.

Sam also edited “Southland Tales” starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Sean William Scott and Justin Timberlake. This film was an Official Selection at The Cannes Film Festival and was directed by Richard Kelly. Sam teaches Intermediate Editing.
