READ Club students went to Prairie View for Read Across America Week. They read books related to the joy of reading to grades K-2.
They then spent time talking with the elementary students about their favorite books, the love of reading, and the importance of continuing to read throughout life.

Our annual trip to Woodbury to help make bread with Mrs. Ballas and the K-3 students has quickly become one of our favorite activities in READ Club!
The K-3 students are fun to work with and our READ Club members do a great job at helping each student make a delicious loaf of homemade bread.
It also helps us get to know the students at Woodbury before we return in the spring semester for more reading-related events!

A group of students from Mrs. Lusk's English I class did a dytopian-themed breakout/escape room in the library during FLEX for extra credit.
One group almost broke out and the second group made it!
Congratulations!
